Shelby joined the Chamber staff in June 2023.
Her duties include disseminating information to the membership and media relations and promoting events, programs, campaigns and initiatives. Shelby is also responsible for managing the implementation of the marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, content creation and the production of Chamber publications, events, media, social media, marketing and materials. She also distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all activities of the Chamber.
Before joining the Chamber team, Shelby worked for the City of Tuscaloosa as a Graphic Design Intern in the Strategic Communications office. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of West Alabama in 2022, majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications: Graphic Design. Immediately following graduation, Shelby began the master’s program in IMC at UWA, to be completed in December 2023.
Shelby is an Sumter County, Alabama native, having grown up in the small town of Belmont. Prior to college, she attended Demopolis City Schools. Shelby also has over seven years of experience working events and weddings at Mimosa Ridge Wedding Chapel in her hometown.
