Travel to Ireland with the Chamber! As part of the Chamber Perks progam, the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will offer a trip to Ireland in the fall of 2019.

Through our partners AAA Alabama and Collette, travelers will enjoy a fabulous trip including castles, a distillery visit, breathtaking cliffs, and more!

Full Itinerary:

Day 1: Tuesday, November 12, 2019-Overnight Flight
Experience a true taste of “Irish Splendor” on a trip that combines fabulous accommodations, stunning scenery and incredible cuisine. Make a return to times past when you join us on an unforgettable tour of the amazing “Emerald Isle.”

Day 2: Wednesday, November 13, 2019
Kingscourt, Ireland 
Tour Begins
Open your tour on the regal grounds of Cabra Castle. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Thursday, November 14, 2019
Kingscourt - Tullamore/Kilbeggan - Cliffs of Moher - Ennis
Start your day with a cross-country journey to Irish whiskey territory. The ancient towns of Tullamore and Kilbeggan have long been associated with the whiskey industry. During a visit to one of these historic distilleries, learn the process of whiskey making and delight in a tasting of the final product. Continue to the stunning 700-foot-high Cliffs of Moher for awe-inspiring views of the mighty Atlantic and the Aran Islands. End your day in the charming town of Ennis. Enjoy the ambience of your historic hotel, cozy up to its roaring peat fire, and feel the warmth of Irish hospitality.

Day 5: Saturday, November 16, 2019
Killarney - Dingle Peninsula - Killarney
Set off this morning to follow what is perhaps Ireland’s most majestic coastal route – the stunning Dingle Peninsula. Stop at the Gap of Dunloe where you can shop for traditional Irish goods handcrafted by local artisans. Travel to the town of Dingle and then drive the beautiful Slea Head road, where some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes are found.

Day 6: Sunday, November 17, 2019
Killarney - Dublin
Depart Killarney for Ireland’s breathtaking countryside. Visit historic Blarney Castle where you have the opportunity to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Legend has it that those who kiss the stone are bestowed with the gift of eloquence. Next, travel to the town of Cashel for views of the historic Rock of Cashel, the reputed location where St. Patrick preached and converted the King of Munster. End your day in Dublin.

Day 7: Monday, November 18, 2019
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin, the “Fair City.” Take in O’Connell Street, Grafton Street and the city's magnificent rows of stately Georgian town homes. Then, enjoy some leisure time to independently explore the cultural offerings of delightful Dublin. Tonight, tour Christ Church Cathedral, one of Dublin’s most historic buildings and toast the end of an incredible journey with canapes and cocktails in the cathedral’s crypt.

Medieval Banquet

In a beautiful land of rolling green fields, ancient battlefields and medieval fortresses once inhabited by generations of clansmen, you can conjure up a world filled with lords and ladies, knights and damsels as you experience a true medieval banquet hosted in a real castle! The 15th century magically comes to life the moment you enter the castle. Sip honey-rich mead and admire the ornate tapestries and royal furnishings before sitting down for a sumptuous four-course meal and some fine wine suitable for toasting the royal court. Spirits run high with delightful song and dance performances reminiscent of this unique period. Duration: Approximately 4 hours. Please note a minimum of 15 passengers is required. The Guinness Storehouse and Traditional Irish Night

This culinary and cultural adventure begins at the Guinness Storehouse, Ireland's top international visitor attraction. Explore the brewing process behind this beloved beverage and learn how to pour the perfect pint. At its spectacular Gravity Bar, enjoy a sweeping 360º view of Dublin as you savor a complimentary pint. Next, come to know Ireland's famed welcoming spirit, lively music and dynamic dancing during a fun filled evening of Irish entertainment at its very best. You will become Irish for the night as you take in the local entertainment and savor some of Ireland's most traditional dishes, such as homemade soda bread and Dublin coddle. The Irish dancers will dazzle you and the traditional Irish ballads will touch your heart. This toe-tapping evening will take you on a journey that captures the true local flavor in a welcoming setting that immerses you in the magic of Irish culture that is rich in tradition and cheer.
